Our multidisciplinary mental health practice provides forensic and comprehensive therapeutic services to individuals who are experiencing emotional concerns, the effects of trauma, stress, and other psychological concerns. We offer evaluations, psychotherapy, and medication management by our team of psychologists, counselors, and psychiatrists.

Our Cincinnati and Dayton, Ohio offices offer:

  • Individual and Group Psychotherapy for anxiety, depression, post-traumatic stress disorder, chronic pain, and other mental health conditions as well as guidance navigating life’s challenges, stressors, and transitions.  We accept most major insurance providers, Bureau of Workers Compensation, Medicare, Medicaid, and self-pay.
  • Comprehensive forensic evaluations including psychological, vocational, and pre-surgical evaluations. Our psychologists conduct Bureau of Worker’s Compensation and Social Security Disability Evaluations.
  • Medication management by a team of experienced psychiatrists for individuals who engage in psychotherapy in our offices.

About Michael T. Farrell, Ph.D.

Dr. Farrell graduated from Thomas Moore College in 1976, then went on to earn his master's degree from Eastern Kentucky University in 1979 and ultimately his Doctorate of Psychology from Illinois Institute of Technology in 1983. He merged his vocational interests of law, business, physical health and psychology to form Michael T. Farrell Ph.D. & Associates in 1986. He enjoyed working closely with patients to provide comprehensive evaluations, assessments and treatment. Over the years he has enjoyed activities such as white-water rafting, parasailing and skydiving. He and his wife of 47 years spend time maintaining their property where their three children and their families gather to fish, swim and play. He remains active in his community, church, and overseeing the transition to the next generation of mental health specialists within our offices.

Meet Our Staff

Jennifer J. Stoeckel, Ph.D., Clinical Director

Jennifer J. Stoeckel, Ph.D., is a 1992 doctoral graduate of Illinois Institute of Technology and has been licensed by the state of Ohio to practice psychology since 1993. She has over 25 years’ experience in clinical, forensic, rehabilitation, and health psychology. Dr. Stoeckel is a specialist examiner for the Ohio Industrial Commission, a Disability Evaluator Panel member, expert witness panel member for the Ohio Attorney General Worker’s Compensation Section, and vendor to the division of Disabled Determination in Ohio. Dr. Stoeckel’s specialties include psychological evaluation and treatment of injured workers, pre-surgical assessment for spinal cord stimulators, spine surgery, pain pumps and bariatric surgery, disability determination, employment screening, opioid risk assessment, personal injury, vocational evaluation, additional allowance, extent of disability, permanent partial impairment, permanent total disability, and psychological impairment ratings for veterans.

Andrew M. Farrell, LPC, Director of Operations

Andrew M. Farrell, LPC, received his degree from Xavier University and is licensed as a professional counselor in the state of Ohio. He spent seven years working with adolescents presenting with behavioral challenges at a community mental health agency before joining Michael T. Farrell PhD & Associates. His primary areas of professional interest include mood disorders, anxiety, chronic pain and stress management. Andy works with a wide variety of clientele and utilizes evidence-based psychotherapeutic approaches such as cognitive behavioral therapy and reality therapy to help patients recognize and expand their potential for growth. He has worked with the company as a therapist since 2016 and has served as the Director of Operations since 2021. He enjoys playing soccer and spending time outdoors with his wife, two children, and two dogs.
